What it actually is
Chemicals, gases, corrosives, flammable liquids. ADR is an INTERNATIONAL agreement with forty eight signatory countries including the UK, so the qualification travels in a way most tickets do not.
What you need to hold
ADR by class and by mode: packages, tanks, or both. Renewed every five years, and a Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser sits behind the operation.
What it does to the money
It should be one of the biggest uplifts in driving and on the best operators it is. Ask the number before you pay for the course, because some firms want the ticket and will not pay for it, which is the whole reason the shortage exists.
