About us

A job board built for the employer who hires two people a year, not two hundred

Most UK businesses do not need a recruitment agency. They need their vacancy in front of the right people, at a price they can sign off without a meeting. That is the whole business.

We put people first. Who runs it Where we are going

Two people talking across a table in a bright office during an interview
The whole idea, in one line

We put people first.

We do not grow this business by looking at profit. We grow it by looking after the people next to us, and those people grow the business.

Every business says something like this. The question is whether anything in the business would look different if it were not true, so here is what it costs us, in order:

  • Candidates pay nothing, and are not the product. We could have built a CV database and sold access to it by the month. It is the easiest money in this industry. We decided not to, and we will not.
  • Prices are published and identical for everybody. No negotiated rate for whoever pushes hardest, no different number for the customer who asks twice. The small firm pays what the big one pays.
  • If your advert is not working, we fix it for nothing. We rewrite it, re-run it and tell you honestly if the pay is the reason. We would rather lose the upsell and keep you.
  • A person answers. Not a ticket number, not a chatbot pretending to be a person. The assistant on this site answers instantly and says plainly when it cannot help, and then a human replies.
  • We say no to money. Adverts that charge a jobseeker a fee, hide the pay, or discriminate come down without a refund. That is revenue we deliberately do not take.

None of that is charity. Look after the driver applying at eleven at night after a shift, and the firm that cannot spend four thousand pounds with an agency, and they come back, and they tell somebody. That is the whole growth plan. It is slower than buying traffic and it lasts longer.

What we are

An advertising platform. You place an advert, we put it in front of jobseekers, and every application comes to you with the CV attached. That is it.

What we are not

Not an agency taking a percentage of a salary. Not a CV database sold by the month. Not a cost per click auction where the price moves while you are looking at it.

Who runs it

HIRINGUK LTD, a UK company registered in Birmingham. One person who answers his own email, monday to friday 9am to 3.30pm, saturday 10am to 2pm. Nothing on the site waits for him: adverts go live and applications arrive at any hour.

Why pay for this at all

Five straight reasons, and the arithmetic behind them.

1. The maths against an agency

A typical agency fee is 15 to 20 per cent of the first year's salary. On a £30,000 role that is £4,500 to £6,000. Our most expensive single advert is £45, and unlimited advertising for a year costs less than half a day of that agency fee. Fill one role a year yourself and the site has paid for itself many times over.

2. The CVs are yours

Every applicant comes to your inbox and your dashboard with their name, phone number and CV. No introduction fee, no restriction on hiring them, no clause that charges you again if you hire the same person next year.

3. It is live today, not next quarter

Write the advert in ten minutes, pay, and it is on the board as soon as the payment clears, normally within the hour on a working day. No onboarding call, no contract negotiation, no minimum term unless you want one.

4. Somebody will actually help you

Send us the role and we will write the advert for you, free. If it is not pulling applications after a week we will tell you honestly why, usually the pay, the title or the location, and rewrite it. Try getting that from a self service portal.

5. The data risk is not yours to carry

We do not build a CV database and we do not sell candidate data, so there is no pile of other people's personal information sitting behind your advert. Applications come to you, you use them for that vacancy, and our terms say exactly what that means.

6. Published prices, on the website

£25 for an advert. £45 featured. £89 for five. £15 to push it across our social channels. £99 a month for as many as you like. No sales call needed to find that out, and no different price for the customer who negotiates hardest.

The questions employers ask us, answered straight

These are the real objections we hear on the phone. Here are the honest answers, including where the answer is "we are not for you".

We already advertise on the big job boards.

Good, keep doing what works. Most of our customers use us alongside a big board, because £25 for 30 days sits comfortably next to a sponsored listing that bills by the click. The test is simple: run one advert with us at the same time as your usual one and compare the applications. If ours does not earn its place, do not renew.

We tried a job board and got rubbish applications.

That is usually the advert, not the board. Adverts that hide the pay, use an internal job title nobody searches for, or read like a job description written for HR get the wrong people. Send us the role and we will rewrite it with you, free, before you pay a penny. If the applications are still wrong, tell us and we will keep working on it.

It is cheaper to put it on a free ads site or a social page.

For some roles it genuinely is, and we will say so. Free listings are fine for local, high volume, low skill vacancies where the applicants live down the road. They are poor for anything that needs a ticket, a licence, a qualification or a notice period, because the people you want are not scrolling a free ads site, and you end up handling the mess in your own inbox.

£25 is still money we have not budgeted.

It is roughly what an unfilled shift costs you in an afternoon. If the budget genuinely is not there this month, wait: the advert will be here when you are ready, and we will not chase you with calls in the meantime.

We use an agency, they do everything for us.

Then keep them for the roles where the screening is worth the fee. Use us for the ones where you already know what good looks like: repeat roles, local roles, roles where you get plenty of applicants and just need reach. Plenty of our customers do exactly that split and cut their agency bill in half.

How do I know anyone will see it?

Every advert goes on the board, into the sector and region listings, into search, and into the XML sitemap search engines read. The £15 boost puts it into our social channels and regional jobs groups as well. What we will not do is promise a number of applications, because nobody honest can: it depends on the pay, the location and the role.

What if nobody applies?

Tell us and we will rewrite the advert and re-run it for another 30 days at no charge. That is a promise we can keep because it costs us nothing but effort, and it is the fastest way to find out whether the problem is the advert or the offer.

Is my data safe with you, and are you GDPR compliant?

We hold as little as we can: your account, your adverts, your invoices, and the applications sent to you. We do not run a CV database and we do not sell data to anybody. Every policy is published, downloadable as a PDF, and there is a form that goes straight to the person responsible for data protection. Read the privacy notice and judge for yourself.

Are you an agency? Will you charge me if I hire someone?

No. We sell advertising. There is no placement fee, no rebate schedule and no clause that bills you when you hire. What you pay is on the pricing page and nothing else is added later.

Do I have to sign a contract or a minimum term?

No. Buy one advert and never come back if you do not want to. The monthly plan is rolling with 30 days notice, and the whole agreement is on the website: no small print you only see after you have signed.

Who actually uses this site?

We are new, and we will not pretend otherwise. That is why the price is what it is, why we write your advert for you, and why we will re-run it free if it does not work. Early customers get the attention that a bigger board cannot give them, and the price they start at is the price they keep.

Can I speak to someone before I spend anything?

Yes. Email hello@hiringuk.co.uk, or use the contact form, and a person replies within one working day. There is no call centre and no sales sequence: one email, one person, one straight answer.

Who is behind it

The person you are dealing with

Grigore Octavian Pupazan

Founder and director, HIRINGUK LTD  ·  LinkedIn

HIRING UK is run by one person from Birmingham, and there is no point pretending otherwise. He still drives for a living, which is where this job board came from.

The dates, precisely, because we ask other people to check theirs. One of the twelve questions on our own small print page is whether a company's dates agree with themselves, so here are ours before you have to look them up. Two different things, and they should not be confused. HIRINGUK LTD was incorporated on 21 August 2026, so the company is new and we are not going to dress that up. The person running it has been in business since 2005, has put up real capital, and has managed teams of several hundred. A new company number is not the same as a new operator, and you are entitled to weigh both. The number is on the public register and in the footer of every page. If that had not matched what this page said, you would have been right to walk away.

Spend years in driving and logistics and you see the hiring market from the wrong end of it: adverts that hide the pay, agencies that ring once and never again, application forms that take forty minutes and lead nowhere, and small firms that genuinely cannot afford four thousand pounds to fill a role they will fill again next year.

So this is the job board he wanted to exist: published prices, adverts that say what the job pays, applications that go straight to the employer, and nobody's CV for sale. If that sounds modest, it is meant to. The ambition is in doing those things properly for a long time, not in the size of the claim.

"We put people first." I have run businesses since 2005, in two countries, and I have never done it any other way. We do not grow this business by looking at profit. We grow it by looking after the people next to us, and those people grow the business. If I look after the candidate who is tired and applying late at night, and the employer who is worried about the cost, then I have a business. If I chase the money first, I have a month.

That is why you will not find your CV for sale here, why the price you see is the price everybody sees, and why if your advert does not work I will rewrite it myself and run it again for nothing.

Where we are going

What we are building, and roughly by when

These are goals rather than achievements, and we would rather publish them and be held to them than say nothing. If we are behind, we will say so here rather than quietly move the date.

Now, the first six months

Get the board honestly full

  • The first 100 paying advertisers, at the launch rate they hold for 3 years, with the number theirs for good.
  • Real adverts across the sectors that carry UK hiring: driving and warehousing, construction, care, engineering, hospitality.
  • Every advert answered by a person if it is not working, rewritten free, re-run free.
  • Company, VAT and ICO registrations completed and published on this site.
Six to twelve months

Be worth finding

  • Adverts in every one of the nine English regions, plus Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
  • Ranking for the searches that matter locally, the ones like "warehouse jobs in Coventry", rather than the national terms that cost a fortune to compete for.
  • Employers coming back for a second advert without being chased, which is the only number that really tells you whether this works.
  • The job alert list large enough that a new advert reaches people the day it goes up.
Year one to two

Earn the right to charge properly

  • Move from the launch rate to the standard rate, with every early customer keeping the price they joined on for 3 years from their first advert.
  • Recruitment agencies posting through their own systems, so we are a destination rather than another tab.
  • Our own placement work, permanent and temporary, for employers who want the job filled rather than advertised.
  • Enough revenue for this to be somebody's whole job rather than their evenings.
The things that will not change

Whatever size we get to

  • Candidates never pay, for anything.
  • We never sell candidate data, and no advertiser can search for people here.
  • Prices stay published on the website, the same for everybody.
  • No contracts that renew themselves, and no fee for hiring somebody.
  • A person answers the email, in writing, within a working day.

Written on 28 August 2026. If you are reading this much later and the site has not moved, that is a fair thing to ask us about.

Try one advert

£25, live for 30 days, unlimited applications straight to you. If it does not work, we rewrite it and run it again free. That is the whole risk.

How we treat candidates

Candidates never pay, their details are never sold, and there is no database of them to sell. What an employer can read is an anonymous card that the candidate wrote and asked us to publish, with no name on it. A CV goes to the employer it was sent to, and anybody can delete everything we hold about them from their own account or with one email. It is a deliberate limit on the business: a job board people trust is worth more than a bigger one they do not.
