Recruitment open days
Turn up, meet the team, see the depot, the kitchen, the ward, the factory floor or wherever the work is, ask your questions and often get an offer the same day. Every open day here shows the pay and what to bring, and every one is checked before it goes up.

Why open days are free here
An open day is one of the most honest ways to find work: you see the place, meet the people you would work with, and ask the questions an advert never answers. For a lot of people it is also the only way in, because a form online does not show what they can do.
So we list them free, for every employer who is hiring and every jobseeker who wants to go, with no advert to buy and no catch. It is our way of giving something back to the towns we work in, to the companies that keep them running, and to the people looking for their next job.
Free to go, always. The pay and what to bring are on every listing, so nobody gives up a day off for a job that was never going to suit them.
Free to list, whatever your size: a haulier, a care home, a hotel, a factory, a building firm, a council, a charity or a social enterprise. No advert to buy, no contract, no follow up sales calls.
Local jobs filled by local people. Newly qualified drivers, people changing career, people coming back to work and people leaving the armed forces all welcome: an open day is where they get a fair first look.
We will be straight about it: it does us good too. People find the open days here, and some of the employers who list one come back when they want to advertise. We think that is how it should work. Do something useful first, and let people decide for themselves.
No open days listed yet
Employers list them here for free, and new ones go up as they are checked. Holding one? List it free, it takes five minutes.
Hiring, and holding an open day?
List it here free. No advert to buy, no catch: a free employer account, the date, the hours, the address, the jobs and the pay. We check it the same working day and it appears here, on Google as an event, and people can tell you they are coming. Jobs only: no courses, no fees to jobseekers.
List your open day freeHow it works, in full
Everything about this page, in one place, so nobody has to guess what is behind a free offer.
For employers
- Free, with no catch. You need a free employer account so we know who is listing. Nothing is charged and nothing is renewed.
- What we ask for: the title, the jobs, the sector, who the day is for, the pay, the date and hours, the address, what to bring and what happens on the day.
- The pay is required, as on every advert here. A figure or a range.
- A person checks every one before it goes up, usually the same working day. If we refuse one we tell you why.
- Jobs only. No paid courses, no fees to jobseekers, no selling. A day that charges anybody anything is refused or taken down.
- Who is coming: when somebody presses "I am coming" you get an email, and the list is in your dashboard under Open days.
For people going
- Free to attend, always. Nobody may charge you to go or to be hired: not for training, checks, uniform or anything else. If anybody asks, tell us.
- You do not have to tell anybody you are coming. "I am coming" is optional and only helps the employer expect you.
- What happens to your details: your name and the email or phone you give go to that employer only, so they know you are coming. Nothing else is done with them.
- Deleted after 30 days. We delete them 30 days after the open day. The employer is asked to use them only to arrange the day and the job.
- No account needed to see the open days or to say you are coming.
And what is in it for us
We said it at the top and we mean it: people find the open days here, and some employers who list one come back to advertise. That is the whole arrangement. No data is sold, no candidate is charged, and nobody is chased with sales calls for listing a day. Questions: hello@hiringuk.co.uk.
