What to watch for in this trade
Tips and service charge are not wages and cannot be used to make up the minimum wage. Since 2024 an employer has to pass on tips fairly and have a written policy you can ask to see.
Nobody else writes that second box, and it is the one worth reading. Every trade has a way of quietly costing people money, and the person who tells you before you take the job is more use than the one who tells you afterwards.
