Why this one has no hole in the middle
Every job board publishes a salary guide. Almost all of them are built on a filtered sample, and the filter is the problem: the adverts that hide the pay are the ones that pay worst. A guide assembled only from adverts that happened to state a figure is reading the better half of the market and calling it the market.
An advert here cannot be published without stating the pay. Not encouraged to, required to. So the sample is the whole thing, and that is the one claim a small board can make that a large one cannot. Why we can enforce it and they cannot.
Not enough adverts yet to say anything honest
This page fills itself as adverts go up. Nothing appears until there are at least 4 stated adverts for a role or a town, because three figures dressed up as a market rate would be worse than an empty page.
In the meantime, the job profiles carry pay ranges written from published sources, and every one of them says where the figure came from.
