How to apply
[How to apply, and by when]
Copy it as plain text
Before you post it
- Put the pay in. A figure or a real range. Adverts with the pay get more of the right applicants, and on HIRING UK every advert shows it.
- Only ask for what the job needs. Every "essential" you add that is not essential cuts out good people.
- Use the title people search for. This job is also called: Meter reading operative, Field meter reader. Pick the name your candidates use.
- Keep it fair. No age, no "young and energetic", no "native English speaker": the Equality Act 2010 applies to adverts too.
